SINGAPORE - Singapore stocks opened higher on Friday (Jan 18), with the Straits Times Index progressing 7.59 focuses, or 0.24 percent to 3,222.03 as at 9.05am.
Gainers dwarfed washouts 77 to 35, after about 57.3 million offers worth $65.75 million changed hands.
The most effectively exchanged counter was investigation organization Rex International, which rose 0.1 penny, or 1.33 percent, with about 8.6 million offers exchanged.
Other dynamic stocks included Charisma Energy, which rose 50 percent, or 0.1 penny to 0.3 penny, and CapitaLand which rose 0.3 percent, or one penny to $3.29.
