TOKYO (AFP) - Japan's swim ruler Rikako Ikee, an authentic gold decoration trust at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, has been determined to have leukemia, the 18-year-old tweeted on Tuesday (Feb 12). 

In a stun declaration, Ikee stated: "Subsequent to feeling unwell I returned in scurry from Australia and following tests I was determined to have leukemia. Despite everything I can't trust it myself and I'm in a mess." 

Ikee shot to popularity at the 2018 Asian Games, where she caught a record six gold awards to discharge a notice for the 2020 Olympics in her home city. 

The young hotshot, who holds a string of national records, has been tipped to push for gold on a few fronts, specifically in the ladies' 100m butterfly. 

Ikee advised fans she was resolved to beat her sickness in the wake of being compelled to desert her preparation camp in Australia.
